As this is being written we are currently being treated to a Frankie and Benny's by Griph and Jan, really generous of them. Needless to say we are very excited!
Today was a fairly straight forward ride - unless you're Pete and Anders and decide to go on a 12 mile detour to Bromsgrove! We all covered about 69 miles today and the weather was very favourable with quite a bit of sun. A few rosie faces tonight!
The route took us through Tewkesbury, Worcester, Wolverhampton and Stafford. Negotiating some of the traffic in the towns was interesting and Pamela almost falling off her bike amongst stationary traffic even more!
Anders escaped with no punctures today, but unfortunately Neil did!
Having a break from camping tonight, so Support Team get a night off and we are resting up in a Travel Lodge, wth like proper beds and a bath and everything!

Keep going Neil, Pete and team Lejog! Was thinking of you today as we drove back up the M5... looked like a nice day for cycling! Hope the legs and other body parts are holding out. Enjoy the luxury of Travelodge! Best wishes from Big Chris and Ratty... BUSH ON!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat to see you all in such high spirits this evening and to put some faces to names at last. Tomorrow will not be scenic but it has to be done to get to the pretty bits further north. Wind may not be as favourable tomorrow so its vital to stick together and give mutual support and shelter. Keep twirling those pedals!
ReplyDeletenice wind today too. Natural, not gas. Photos from yesterday on FB V soon. Like 10 mins.... Saw some of teh best and worst parts ok UK today then.....
ReplyDeleteOh, and Pete, nice detour!!
ReplyDeleteSo good to hear from Griph that you are in such high spirits. Forecast looks good for next 5days at least, so keep your skin protected against the sun and protect wherever else with whatever is necessary!!! KEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP Pedalling as Brucie would say!!! Here's to a puncture free day and another good nights sleep coming up.
